Hoffie

Hoffie is a public traveling book collection which was initiated by Gyonne Goedhoop, Hannah Jacques and Pris Roos and with help from Gyonne Goedhoop, The Uitpluizers and Base Bookspace. It includes a selection of books and graphic novels for different ages and in different languages with topics including awareness of gender, sexuality, coming of age and different types of backgrounds.

Hoffie started with the personal book collection of Pris Roos, first at the studio opening the collection to visitors and it has grown in size traveling from Rotterdam Zuid as part of Zuid-Boijmans van Beuningen to neighborhood center Wijkpaleis in West-Rotterdam and recently at TENT, platform for contemporary art. With these various places, we try to collaborate with the team of the space and come up with new collaborations, new books and workshops with parties that focus on diversity, black and brown authors and illustrators, queerness and representation of the neighborhoods.
