Installation
2019
What does gentrification mean to the local residents of Feijenoord? In this project there was the opportunity to creat new works in an abandoned shop in the Beijerlandse Laan on the South of Rotterdam. This street has a lot of history of movement from her local residents. And at this moment, the city Rotterdam is experiencing a lot of changes in housing and her people. The streets surrounding this shop are    experiencing a lot of renovation by her house owners and I wanted to represent the feeling of this neighbourhood by creating portraits of her current local residents and made use of debris materials from the streets herself.

This installation is made for All You Can Art 4 during the summer of 2019.

Acrylics, plexi plates, plastic, plastic grass, concrete and wood.
